This image has been scaled back to its original dimensions of 5016 x 3344 pixels.

You must load high resolution images into the Blank Photo Template and then Copy this into your design file.

At this scaling the dpi is 96.

Stretch your browser out as wide as you can manage to see how crisp or otherwise the image is.

If you drag and drop the image from the Bitmap gallery onto the page, Xara will create

an image width of 500 pixels.

At this scaling the example here has 963 dpi.

120dpi - 4013px W

894dpi - 539px W

Xara renders all

these at 96dpi

Each white Box has code of <img src="index_htm_files/Jarring1.jpg" width="100%" height="100%" />.

Regardless of scale it will always render the original resolution.

All Placeholders

render a scaled

image, which

uses the ori-

ginal 5016 x

3344 px size.

The problem with this approach is ensuring your original image is rendered some-

where in your site.

I used this on the first page and ensured all subsequent images had the same Image Name of Jarring.

Here, you can add the image(s) to the !Images Layer (it must have the !) with an Image Name of Hidden (it can be anything not in use).

You hide the Layer itself when you publish.

Finally, I used Web Animation > Reveal > Trigger object name of “Never” (Again, it can be anything not in use). This ensures the images are

never rendered, just published.

<img src="index_htm_files/Hidden.jpg" width="100%"

height="100%" />
